Our holiday camps run throughout the school holidays, with the aim of tackling food poverty and social inequalities among five to 13-year-olds in receipt of free school meals and the under 18 SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) population. We offer funded holiday camp places and we send the children home with food hampers packed with enough ingredients to make four nutritious family meals five nights a week.

A multi-agency partnership between Tameside Early Help, The Children’s Nutrition Team, and Active Tameside aims to support children and young people to increase activity levels by providing access to activities such as swimming and cycling; alongside relevant nutritional education in order to support healthy weight management along with nurturing healthy habits and behaviour change for life.
