Fuel4Fun Holiday Camps

Holiday Camps

There are over 10,000 young people in Tameside who receive benefit related free school meals. The main aim of the Fuel 4 fun programme is to engage with these young people over the school holiday period. During this time, we offer FREE holiday activities, supported interventions and provisions; we also provide a healthy lunch and snacks throughout the duration of the delivery. Additionally, to this a healthy food hamper is delivered to the family home of each of the young people enrolled on the programme. The food hampers contain recipe cards, fresh fruit and vegetables. Fresh meat along with ambient products to create healthy meals. Developed alongside the NHS Children’s Nutrition Team it allows the families to be educated in healthy choices and to develop their knowledge surrounding a healthy lifestyle.
